Scratched mirror, anyone repaired it?

I've just scratched my mirror on my garage door, has anyone repaired it, looks like it's sprayed, but with what?

I believe they are aluminum sprayed with a "matte" clear coat. To repair them you can sand out the gouges and then respray them.
