They do have the engine and Qisha once hinted that 'other models' would get the engine. (and if so, they would consider developing S-tronic)

IMO there is absolutley no reason for Audi NOT TO make an RS3...

The S3 is no longer "the power king" amongst the hatches, and developing the RS3 wouldn't create huge costs - all the parts are already there...

Actually, in a financial view, the RS3 would probably be good for Audi since it would cover up the development costs for the 2.5TFSI...

Would it sell? Just look at the amount of modified S3's and the answer is there...they all have money and want more power...

I'm sure this engine will make it in An Audi A3 but not this model.... its too late... its changing soon...

A facelift was done a year ago, so I don't think we'll see a new A3 for at least a year or two...

Remember RS4 B7?

This quote of the RS3 being shown at Frankfurt has been repeated by AutoExpress, so may be there's something to this rumour.

Their suggested price is also more favourable than that of the TR/RS at £35k.
