i stand by the MT test a few months back that the R8 handles better than the GTR...

but numbers wise, the R8 will not get faster than the GTR until the next gen comes with the rumored all new Quattro5. only exception being the hardocre V10 version that is rumored to be coming out. we'll see.

Quattro5?

We've just got Quattro3 with the introduction of toque Vectoring diff and the shifting of the front diff ahead of the gearbox. What happened Quattro4 or are we just by-passing it?

my bad. i meant quattro4 then. and by that i mean the supposed front and rear sport diff set up.

Yeah, I have heard that rumour, though I don't know how much difference it would bring. Possibly the nose will be less likely to understeer and thus increase the lateral G forces but I still think the weight of the nose have to take a dramatic drop.

Hard to believe r8v10 more than 2 secs slower than the gtr.

To compare

Gtr on Hockenheimtrack by sport auto 1:11,0 (sporttyres)
R8 v10 on Hockenheimtrack by sport auto 1:11,9 (normaltyres)

What tyres had this tested R8 v10...
as the gtr tyres are pretty close to sporttyres perfromance wise...

it depense also on the track, as soon as you have slower corners the R8 will have the advantage as the the GTR pushes like hell over the front wheels

I'd love to know what the LP670 would have ran. Damn noise regs.
