...a Longitudinal front-engine Torsen+sportdiff quattro or a longitudinal mid-engine layout.
Everything else is a wasted TT Mk3.

You have a point in this but i don't feel necessary moving to longitudinal platform in such a small car. It will always be based on Golf platform i think and adding a proper Haldex system will always do the trick in TT.

This Gen 1 S3 show that you can install a full RS4 V6 Biturbo (450 hp) running gear with full operational quattro in a old S3 body.
In line of this Audi AG must be able to develop a next gen TT RS Mk3 with the full running gear of the B8 S4 3.0TFSI V6 Supercharger. ?

Big difference between stuffing an engine yourself and having a factory do the same, they have to worry about reliability and serviceability and other factors.

Cost of production, this way, is a lot less expensive... TT have lots of same parts wits so many VAG cars...

Hmm, that's interesting, i wouldn't thought that a V6 engine can fit into an A3 engine bay longitudinal.

A V6 does (3 cylinders long) a inline 4 cylinder 2.0TFSI does NOT fit.
