Can anyone confirm the ZF type number of our C5 RS6 as I have found some sources that say it is a zf5HP19fla and others say it is a ZF5HP24A.

Do all C5 RS6 have the same gearbox or do USA models have different spec?

I need this as I plan to order an upgraded torque converter as mine is faulty. If the new TC can take more torque (I will spec it to take more than 550 lbs ft) so does the transmission ECU need to be changed to match it? Has anyone done this before?

It is a 5HP24A, the 5HP19 is a smaller transmission that is in A4's. The 5HP24A is a family of ZF trannies but all parts are not the same. The 5HP24 is used by BMW, Jaguar as well as in the A8 and A6 and others but there are many RS6 specific parts as well as the housing which are different.
