Exhaust is in but not fitted yet and the HP- limiter is out.
560 HP.

Looking sharp. :dig:

I really love it, when owners of such perfect machines let them out in the natural habitat.
The autobahn is a shortlived trill, compared to the tweesties in the mountains.

Can you shed some more light about the HP-limiter & removal?

What exhaust did you get?

Cheers

it is very very simple....the throttle butterfly flaps are the only reason why the R8 V10 has let Power then the LP560
The Flaps start closing down to ca 80% above 6700rpm.....so it is only a way of air restiction......plug in a laptop.....change the flaps position and done........

Awesome color combination man and congrats on removing the limiter. I wanna see some more pics of the beast in action.

Ti-Mike, very interested to hear about the butterfly update. Did your dealer do the software upgrade or an outside person?

How does the car feel now with the extre power?

Also would be very interested to hear about which exhaust you are getting as I wish to perform these upgrades on my car when it arrives later in the year

how was it vs the TT in the ride? any trouble keeping up or was it the other way around?

the TT has as well 550 HP, but the suspension is much softer, as the V10 has much more torque now compare to the V8 and the bandwith of the HP is much bigger , even when we have been cursing at a little above moderate speed the V10 has the power to stay behind the TT without shifting, as soon as you shift, good bye....the V10 ist gone, that's why my friend Andy ordered the new 480 Ferrari, which will come in May 2010 till then he has to look at my tail pipes.

The Exhaust is the.......1:1 copy of the LMS V10 GT3.....as we had acess to the original pipes.
The only different , not more CAT and NO Silencer at all, and it is a 5 in one setup multiplied by 2 makes 10 cylinders, it will be very loud , at only problem why it is not on the car yet, i have been on the road like hell.

Nice picture and the mods to the car isn't bad either! :thumb:

A soundclip when the exhaust is on would be interesting..

there will be a sound file........no wories.......

the update has not been done by my dealer, as their software can't get deep enough into the system.

in the beginning i did not felt that the butterflies are closing as the 525 HP are not nothing as well, now you feel the difference but only in the high RPM's the torque is the same, in the end did not really changed that much.......surely if the exhaust will be fitted it will change more, as no more CAT's will be in and the pipes are straight out of the collectors no muffler ect.......let's wait what will happen.

Reading this sounds like Porsche is not much of a car... Of c', I find that very hard to believe... :D
