What new Lambo, it does not sound like a Lambo.

I believe it was mentioned on TG that a replacement for the Murci is on it's way, so...

It sure does sound Lamboish to me, but my speakers are weak (Laptop) so I may be wrong...

:vhmmm:

Qisha, you guessing or do you have some info we don't?

Having listened to some clips I'm actually changing my mind and going for a gallardo V10, maybe the Balboni. Listen to the engine at about 5 minutes in:

Either that or an R8 V10.

The Pretender

Beside that, i don't believe the Vette is able to get at the tail of the Balboni.

Lp 670-4 sv, imho.

Lp 670-4 sv, imho.
That is even faster then the Balboni, the Vette will not even stay close.

I think you underestimate the ZR-1.

Maybe, but i doubt it.

Maybe, but i doubt it.I think you'd be very surprised. Pretty sure it can hang with a 670 on public roads.

I think he may be underestimating the LP560 too. That packs within 40whp of an LP640 and out-drags it even on an airfield. I'm not so sure the LP670 would be faster than a Balboni or LP560-4.

The LP670 is WAY faster than the both.

For more info, buy the new issue of EVO.

Don't think the Balboni is out yet, so I guess a LP670. EVO has it the latest issue.

R8V10 is my guess.

Bingo, it's a Lambo V10 and as Frederic has his little finger I have my little willie and it's telling me it's the Balboni.

P.S.

I know, it's imbarassing to find yourself continously listening to your wee man but there you go. :hihi:

What sort of times is it putting in?

Extraordinary.

0-60mph : 3.2s (2.8s)
0-100mph : 7.3s (5.8s)
0-150mph : 15.4s (12.0s)
0-170mph : 21.2s (16.2s)

Veyron times in brackets.

Not that much better than the lighter LP560-4, if at all:

When you look at the other times supplied of the Veyron which weren't that great considering what other mags have achieved, I would say that this time from the LP670 should and would provide better times than a LP560 when both cars are brought together at the same place and time.

You can't always look at times from different events and use them as proof, you have to look at the bigger picture and compare multiple times to build up a more realistic opinion.

Could the Corvette ZR-1 be chasing the new Ferrari 458? From the few sound clips provided on the Ferrari website, I think it is a possibility.

Gearchanges aren't fast enough for it to be the 458 IMHO.

Looks like it was a V12 after-all - the LP670-4 SV.

I did see the video earlier on the Autocar website. It's rather difficult to ascertain which car is quicker; however, the Lambo pulled better exiting the turns. It would be interesting to see how hard Max Venturi was working in the cockpit-the Vette almost let go a couple of times.

No car magazine in the World was able to test drive it yet.
Not one of the journalists was even allowed to see one in person yet.
Besides,a ZR1 would probably have more trouble with the Italia then the car it was really chasing(at moments it looked like the Vette could have easily passed it)

Not sure what you guys were thinking about with the V10. That had 670 written all over it.
