HI!

I have asked this prevoiusly, but as I am looking at an C6 RS6 to buy soon, I ask again.

Any new problems arised in your cars, owners?

The reason I am asking this so keenly, is beacause Audi doesnt seem to offer ANY KIND :vgrumpy:of gurantee after the 2 year factory gurantee. This is really bad. I am still hestitating to buy the RS6, allthough I would really want to. You can get 10 year guarantees for MB's, 9 years for Porsches, why does Audi refuse here to give any guarantee?

It feels suspicious...

Where'd you get the figures for Benz and Porsche? As far as beyond the factory warranty, you can always purchase aftermarket warranties.

Dear kip,

actually this is not correct. You are able to go for the Audi Carlife Plus option after the regular factory warranty. You can extend the warranty up to the car lifetime.

Check with your local Audi partner for warranty policies.

FWIW Porsche do a 2 year manufacturer warrenty for new cars (10 years body only).. The Additional warrenty is ridiculous money .. First there is the 211 point inspection (approx cost 150 GBP) and then the warrenty my last quote for the Cayenne (V6) at 3 years old was 1700 GBP which was about 10% of the car value when I sold it, the Boxster warrenty at 2 years old was 800 GBP...

As Qisha says Audi offer similar "pay for cover" post manufacturer warrenties

Re problems .. I have one major one with my C6, which is most UK roads are not long enough ;)

This is the reply I got from AUDI AG (factory) for car life plus:

Thank you for your phone call on June 24, 2009 and your interest in purchasing a pre-owned Audi RS6.

Please be informed that Audi AG, as the factory, cannot provide you with an individual offer for an Audi RS6 as we have assigned
all sales activities to our legally and economically independent Audi Partners.

Additionally we have to state again that all guaranty insurances for pre-owned vehicles offered through our German Audi partners
are not valid if the vehicle will be registered outside of Germany although you are planning to do all maintenances in Germany
and willing to pay a higher fee.

We are sorry that we can not meet your expectations in the respect and hope to have helped you with the provided information.

So please, give me respect that I know what I am talking about. For me there is no possibility to get aftermarket warranties in Finland...

That sucks...

I have to say that all the above mentioned warranties have been 10x cheaper for me than the expenses for the repairs on my car have been, even though they have been minor faults. Both Porsche and Mercedes I have owned, have had problems. Will not buy a car without warranty very easily. I have to say my E39 M5 was totally bulletproof and would buy that again.

No I cant, not in FInland. There is one warranty firm:
www.finntakuu.fi (http://www.finntakuu.fi)
but they dont cover you when you go outside Finland. Audi Ag told me that Car Life Plus is not possible for export, check the letter above.

Mercedes: 10 years

Porsche: 9 years
[URL]http://www.porsche.com/germany/usedcars/n54/warranty/ (http://www.jungesterne-rhein-ruhr.de/content.php?c=jungesterne&kundenwebid=122001)

Audi: 2years (Car life not possible, check letter above), sucks...

Please Qisha, if you have any other information than the red light received from both WV Versicherungs AG in Wolfsburg and Audi Ag, I would be VERY interested.

I just think you dont know the facts. Trust me I have called many hours to try to get ANY guarantee...

Any advice would be appreciated.

so it is the only problem on this car, they DON'T WANT to cover it outside germany. You have just to move your home.......:bye:

No, Audi Ag said NO WARRANTY unless the car is registered in Germany, coverage is in the whole of Europe.

Yes, you can have warranty for all europe ONLY if you live in germany because it is the only reason for registrering your car in germany. So it is a good information, they can give warranty. It is not for technical reason that they just give it for germany registrated cars.

Sorry I dont follow you. Porsche, Mercedes, Bmw etc. give Europewide guarantees if you buy the car in Germany and register elsewhere, AUDI IS THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES NOT. How is this logical??

I agree with you, it is not logical from our point of view. It would be interesting to know their point of view......

27000 km - a hose from the coolant cracked
- and the left headlamp burnt

Also it seems that the disc brakes , from the front wheels have some small cracks , the guys from the service advised me to change them .
