HUGE expectations.
I am truly looking forward to see what they come up with.
Current Arnage, with it's inferior dynamics, packaging and performance vs these perfect driving appliances like S600/S65,still is a charming and unforgetable driving experience,a real classic.
I hope they make it true to their heritage.....

I read that Audi's V12 TDI is planned, and even maybe veyron's engine...is that possible? That would be insane...

There was a mule with W16 engine a while ago but it seems it was decided that was not financially viable.
Same with V12TDI.
The final version the top brass signed off is basically updated engine from Brooklands.

I think the RS6 engine would be awesome in it. I have read that the Bentley V8 isn't all that smooth.

I would like to see a Bentley with a powerful but frugal engine in it. That said, the V-12 TDI would also be great.

This is very brave move by VAG/Bentley, if this is the next Arnage...

Maybe it needs some time to get used to this new looks, but for the moment chinese cars are the first association looking at this...

If I didn't know any better I'd say that's a chinese copy of a Bentley...I sincerely hope they show this as a concept...so that they can fuck it up and properly fix it before the final product is ready.

Saludos.

I think its a real thing... Close look at the door makes me think like that, but, I also think it will look much better on a real pic's and in real life...

Change the headlights (bad LED intergration) and get rid of the lower mesh and it will look way better. But even this combination might look better in higher quality photos/real life.

I don't know about this "new look" but it seems like they are trying to go back to old legends in styling solutions:

I don't know about this "new look" but it seems like they are trying to go back to old legends in styling solutions:

The old Arnage was a rebadged and polished version of the worst car RR ever made. I was hoping for Bentley to make a clean break with that period. Looks like they did. Looks like they are trying to ignore the whole RR-rebadging period, and start from a historically pure Bentley design.

I like how it looks, and I'm sure it'll grow on the people that expected another RR clone.
The promenent circular headlights sunken in between the fenders and the radiator grill remind me of those huge chrome light-units of the olden days. The isolation of the headlight allows for a strong definition of the fenders, and the tapering bonnet. Which is also a feature of cars from Bentleys' heydays, and gives the new car a very solid and classic appearance.

I like the Phantom, but only because its over the top. It's like a bardge on wheels. If it had an estate version, it would look a like a delivery truck. I like things that make rich people look silly while attempting to impress me. I absolutely love the BMW X6 for instance. But I don't think I'll feel that way about the driver of the new Bentley. Unless he/she paints it orange.
