Look at the pictures below:

Seems like there's been some wool-pulling over eyes here. After all, trapping 5mph more is a lot for a 3% weight reduction.

Do we know if this picture is from a standard 2008 or 2009 model?

is that ceramic coating? and is that some part of the turbo chamber?

Leadfoot - Don't know.

RXBG - The GTR has the turbine wheel intergrated into the exhaust unlike a more usual turbo. That is what you are seeing. The turbine wheel is bigger and has more blades and a different blade design.
