Hi all.

I need to know the length dimensions of the C5 RS6 front bumper shocks. Specifically the two lengths noted in the picture. (#1 front to the edge of the black tube and #2 front to the large flat surface of the bracket where the bolt hole is) Anyone out there that can help me? Thanks

I've also heard that the C5 RS6 shocks and the Allroad shocks have the same length. Can anyone confirm this?

Just curious, are you trying to make a lighter non shock absorber mount to replace the stock one with?

Just lighter on my wallet.

I want to modify my S6 bumper shock mounts to work with an RS6 front bumper. I want to estimate that there is about a 40 mm difference in length. RS6 is shorter and I've heard that the RS6 shock mounts and the Allroad shock mounts are about the same length. They are adjustable, too, fyi. Maybe about 10 mm or so.

Curious, do you happen to know what each one weighs?

Curious, do you happen to know what each one weighs?

My bathroom scale says 4.5 - 5.0 pounds each.

If you're looking to shave weight from your RS6, I'm sure the consensus is that it's not worth it at all. You can't shave enough weight to make a difference without losing the functionality that makes the car the Autobahn cruiser that it is meant to be. (ex. the interior, glass, wiring, etc.)

This is very very much appreciated. It looks like your shocks have a length that's 1.125 in. shorter than my S6 pieces. This has saved me from buying the RS6 shocks. Now I just need to cut the welds, and slide the brackets forward.
