Looks hot - the car and the sun! You sir are a lucky man with a great car and great upgrades.

What are the roads like in Abu Dhabi for an enthusiast driver like you? ...many curvy roads? ...some long secluded straights? ...and police density? Please give us some stories!!!

DonS@ I like the roads here in UAE, its really good, especially the curves are high in the corners so you can take the curves while speeding with no problems. The most part i really HATE is the radars. On the highways we have a radar every 6km and in the city (Dubai, Abu dhabi) every 1.5km :(
The police cars almost the same number of the private cars (sooooooooooo many) and they have a fast cars (Benz E, BMW new 5 series, corvette recently spotted, 4x4 Hammer) plus CID in private cars to catch you if you speed or race :(

Anyway, here are few photos as an example

Highways

Twisty road between the mountains

Straight roads outside the city, looks bad but its really good if you wanna try the top speeds without radars :)

But I see you have already some sidewalk scratches. http://www.autoforum.be/images/smilies/old/icon_surprised.gif

Thanks Spillies, actually that is the only problem with those MTM wheels, or with the tyers!! that whenever u hit the sidewalk it will touch the wheels directly not the tyers first like the 18" OEM wheels i had before. Now, i have to be very carefull whenever i come close to sidewalks.

My Michelin PS2s save me a little with the small extra lip they have. Great looking wheels. I need to get around to doing the LED tail light update as it really makes the car look up to date. You convinced me months ago with your last pictures and really drilled it home with these.

car looks great, thanks for sharing. Always wanted to visit that area.

Also reminds me (as well) to put on the LED tails the beast, they have been sitting in the garage since I took them on my 4.2

Yikes, you are out of luck as other tires are worse. The mtm wheels do stick out more than my 19" OEM 5 spokes but in my case the extra lip on the tire does lower the amount of damage as i feel it hitting sooner. I gave up on perfection awhile ago so i will live with the occasional scrape. In Chicago we have a lot of parallel parking so its hard to keep the wheels perfect.

Atually I bought them from eBay and when I received them i found that they are little bit bigger than original RS caliper logo and color also different, but when I stick them I saw they look nice and clear from distance specially while you driving. what is wrong with the R? cuz its in white?

Sad to say, my beast is sold few days back after over 2 years of fun and a lot of money spent :)

Looking forward to back again one day with a new beast from new models.

Wish all of you a joy and fun with their RS6s with less money to spend :)

Hey Vangelis, I've read your posts over the last two years, but I never realized that they were your pictures of your beast that I found online... I was using your 3/4 shot to plan mods while I was on the hunt for my car (I was originally looking for mugello blue). I photoshopped about a dozen different rims on your car, LED tails, painted your plate surround, put a lower diffuser on there, different exhaust tips, etc...

It's too bad I trashed them, would've been funny to post for you. But thanks for putting your pix out there... with all that money you save driving a Yaris, you'll be a lord of the rings again in no time. In two years you'll see 3.0t S4s coming up as CPOs... Goal setting is the key to life.
