Is you engine already out? Do you know how many feet/meters are needed for an entire vacuum hose replacement project? I would use Tuning Venair since I've had good experiences with them.

Do I need the engine out for this? How many vac lines will I not be able to do since the engine is going no where.

I have no clue how much hose I need, was going to buy about 3m worth, enough?

Not sure how much is needed, was hoping you already knew. I think someone said there may be a few vac hoses behind the motor. I'll try to check an engine diagram and see if I can find a total.

To do the small id vacuum lines, you'l need about 5 feet of 3mm or 3.5mm. I went with 3mm as it worked better with the pinch clamps I bought from mcmaster. . The only small I'd vacuum line you will not be able to change out are the vacuum lines to and from the wastegates. Everything else is okay as soon as the inake is remoe.

Are the clamps really necessary with small vac lines? As long as there is a bit of slack a vac line should stay put, since it is being sucked into each fitting.

Some of the vacuum lines are dual row, off boost, off throttle, they are vacuum and on boost they are pressure lines so unless you want to trace the flow, you should probably go with the clamps.

Good to know! I didn't realize they were set up that way. How much boost would be going through the lines?

Another question for anyone that can answer, is the stock line diameter 3.5? And if so what part number are the clamps for the lines?

Thanks!

some of the stock lines are 3mm and some 3.5...
you can tell once you remove them.

i purchased pinch clamps from mcmaster... let me see if i can pull up the part number.

52545K42 is the part number i think i used for the vacuum lines. make sure you don't cut the silicone lines as the edges are sharp.

some of the vacuum lines will see full boost... others are triggered through a solenoid, so it'll only see vacuum or very minimal boost. the problem is that there's no clear way of knowing what vacuum lines see boost and which do not.
