can someone advise me as to just how important it is to stay under 5000 rpms when breaking the RS6 in? I've accidently gone over it a couple of times...Thanks

you're not alone. :confused: .........but I think modern day motors are so finely tuned that they're pretty much ready to haul azz from day one. :cool2:

Occasional zing-by is probably OK, especially if its not full foot-to-the-floor hard accelleration. Don't make it a habit as engines do like break-in.

Varying the rpm's will aid ring seating. Just don't over do it would be my advice. An occassional goose is probably a good thing. I will have pics for you soon of my Daytona with the black interior.
