Hi Guys, just made the jump from Audiworld to RS6.com and thought I would start with sharing my latest mod.

Now when my original 324x22mm rear rotors have seen there best days and needed to be changed, I wanted something that would better match the front 370mm rotors, so I went with the 356x28mm rotors from the new RS6.

The installation was quite easy, the new rotors fitted right on with only minor modifications, a modified RS6 caliper mounting bracket and new brake dust shield was the only other parts needed

Hi and welcome!

Where in Sweden are you located? I'm in Stockholm.

I remember when I put Movits on my car, the car became like new.

I kept my old B7 pads, but I think B7 RS4 and C5/C6 RS6 have the same pads, they all fit anyway...

Ok , I don't think you'll get new pads to fit as they are too wide with the fatter disc...:vhmmm:

What do you mean exactly when you say "modified RS6 caliper mounting bracket " ??
Did the brackets just bolted on or you needed to drill new mounting holes into them?
And, did you fell any improvement when braking? Did the car stops diving the nose under hard braking and just stops flat?? <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->

I few things needed to be modified, the RS6 mounting bracket was a bitt of for the RS4 and the brake pads took some time before they mountet properly.

I run Alcon BBK 370mm in the front with Pro Race pads and Carbotech XP8 for the rear, steel brake lines. The feel in branking is TOP! 100% perfect! I run the car 99% of the time on the race track and the braking is just 1000% better then the stock brakes.

I have the ceramics 380 mm for the front, and I want to upgrade the back. I don't know if the R8'S ceramic back brake system fits, and it is pretty expensive anyway, but your way with the RS6 rotors seems like a good way to improve

I have the ceramics 380 mm for the front,

one up for u then, wanna trade?:hihi:

I don't think we could run the R8 brakes, I was considering that at first but 4-piston callipers might fuck up the ESP ASR ABS systems and get the opposite effect, basically you don't want more brake power for the rear.

I definitely think that the C6 356 improved the over all braking performance for the car without disturbing Audis electronic system, had the car on a track day this weekend and made several 220kmh down to 50kmh stops with exelent respons.

You might be wright about the ABS messing up, although I think it can be adjusted electronicaly. Too bad I don't know if I can find I shop arround me that can corectly modify the RS6 brackets, I don't know how extensive the work is. I shall look into it
