Has anyone replaced their std unit with another make/model ?

Looking to replace mine for higher quality and IPOD integration. Not so keen on these 'attachment' workaround. Was looking at the NAVTV and IPod dock (http://www.nav.tv/products/vehicledock-ipod) but you have to control via a remote !

Worried about the look in the dash of a new unit? anyone have any piccies of a replaced different head unit (ie kenwood, alpine etc..)

I was looking at an alpine and panasonic but ultimately, decided against it because I preferred the OEM look.

The Pioneer unit looks phenominal whilst also retaining a great OEM presence.

they don't look too bad, however, you won't be able to get information on the instrument cluster

Yep, that's the downside of moving away from OEM.

RNS-E + Dension Gateway 300 should do the trick in terms of iPOD

Thanks.

Looks like Im going down to the dealer tomorrow to sort it out one way or other.

Good to know a DD unit can look good with the right fascia panel, thanks Golffather.

Will post some piccies once done either way !
