Price > Retarded.

5+ hp and -120lbs = 3xs the price. Just lame.

I like Nissans....hell I work in spare parts business of Nissan...but that price is just stupid to say the least. That car should have a lost 120kilo and 50 more hp for these guys to be charging that much.

More to do with exchange rate changes since the base model was launched and the fact that's it's only for sale in Japan. It's like comparing the cost of importing an R34 GTR with the price of a new C6. It's an unfair comparison. In Japan it's about 50-60% more than the base model.

I agree with you and you are right, things and opinions are all relative to your own situations. But even in Japan the performance difference doesn't justify the price increase in my humble opinion.

correcting for exchange rates and calculating that the 2010 US GTR will be north of 80K puts this one (were it to go on sale in the US) at around 98K.

assuming each regular service runs 2K for the regular GTR the spec V would actually cost about 110K over a 4 year life cycle. i paid 750 bucks for the 4 year comprehensive audi care for my R8. and my R8 cost 120K.

yikes.

That makes it "less" retarded, but all the same, pretty far fetched pricing. But thanks for the correction.

i like the car - it's a legend and great performer, BUT one little thing, in Moscow we already have three GTRs with broken gearbox :) cars have obviously been imported and now owners have to pay an 20+ gees USD for a new gearbox, simply crazy :) is it only crazy russians who manage to break'em or anyone know more examples?

That one was Midnight Purple. You can only tell when it catches the sun.
