Hey!! Much better than our stock ones. Are those still 18's or are they 19's? I'm not familiar with those stock wheels.

Looks good. Can't wait to get my 19" 5 spokes back on...tired of looking at the OEM 18s. Will definately get them painted ti too for next winter.

Willie,

Those are some sweet wheels, the new rotors will look good peeking out between the spokes.

Willie,

Now you have gone and done it. Everyone is going to be over on the RS4 forums looking for take-offs. Shoots my plan in the shitter.

:lovl:

No more stock tips for you. Sears holdings...better research the bonds...and short the stock. They are going down big time. Waaaay over valued there...both the stock and the bonds they have floated. Should be interesting.

Thanks mm. I am so glad I dont like in the North where it snows and you have to have two sets of wheels. I would really hate changing wheels every season.

Willie,
No not on recon, just lurking. Sounds like you're getting your car all fixed up. I've been doing exhaust stuff to my 993. I liked the black tips on the RS6 so much that I took my 993 tips and had them powdercoated semi-gloss flat black. Turned out nice.

Care to share the price and company (or did you purchase them private party?)

Any fitment issues?

They came with the car. The former owner bought them through the dealer. No fitment issues. They direct bolt to the car w/o the need for spacers. No Hub centric rings.

Nice looking wheels! I was considering this last year. The parts guy at Audi said there's like a 1mm difference (in offset, I think) from the stock RS6 wheels, another than that, direct replacement!

Not bad, but definatly not the first. There is a black one that is around my part of town that put RS4 wheels on back in early 08. They look good, but I still think the stock wheels offered on the RS cars look best on the vehicle they come on.

I dont know, but compared to the OE RS6 they seem lighter, even at 19"s. I picked one up while they were changing the wheels this weekend and it did not feel heavy at all. I dont know the actual weight though. I should have got the weight though, what was I thinking? And I call myself a car guy. LOL.

Nice look Fonzie. As for weight, not sure, but they cannot be that heavy. I have the same ones in both 20" on my A8L and 19" on TT.

I have had the forged rs/4 wheels from hartmann on my beast for a couple of years. The weight was 19lbs versus the 22lbs for the stock and you can buy audi center caps with the wheels for 6 dollars a piece. I don't like the chrome wheels as they are very difficult to clean/ keep clean. It is an okay wheel don't like the 19" rims as the 255 is the widest tire you can put on it.

Hello all,

I've owned by Beast for almost 2 years now and love it madly. I've never been thrilled with the stock 18" rims. My dealer in CT has strongly recommended I not move up to 19" rims due to space limitations eg making a turn while hitting a pothole might cause a calamity such as a ripped fender etc...

Who out there has 19" rims on their car...and what, if anything did you do to successfully install them...? Thanks in advance. -Cheers, PUMARS6:rs6kiss:

Well,

Search is your friend but welcome.

Your dealer is on crack.

All Euro and UK market RS6s came with 19" wheels stock.

You can fit up to a MTM Bimoto 19x9.5 rim as long as the offset is correct. You can fit up to a 275/30/19 if the rim offset is correct.

19x9.5 rim will fit with a 30 offset. No spacers

We just had a thread about this.

Its amazing what dealers dont know. Really. The so called experts dont know di...diley. I mean audi sells a 19" wheel that fits the RS6 and it comes from the RS4 so that tells you how much the experts know.

Whatever you do... be careful of 18s. I have the gunmetal Velocity Motoring RS4 reps that I was going to move from my A6 to my RS6... no go. There's not enough inside diameter on the 18" VM reps to fit around the big RS front brakes. I love these wheels, but unfortunately it looks like they'll have to be sold (any takers who want them for something OTHER than the RS6?) and maybe I'll get some 19s instead.

I'm seeing the VM RS4 wheels on ebay they are 19x8.5 ET38. Does that sound like the proper fit?

That is a nice looking wheel.

Without using search. I think our wheels are 8.5 wide and 30 backspace.

The wheel you list has 8mm additional backspace.

butt....haha, I dont want to compare cheeks to cheeks on this deal. LOL

pfft, i'm running 20s and I'm willing to wager money that the RS6 can fit 21s. Would never actually recommend anybody do this but I bet 21s will work.

Very good look and 19's to boot.

So I have a few questions:
What size/type tires are on these rims? No problem with rubbing correct?
What size (19x?) and offset are these RS4 rims?

I've been looking for an after market look and these are the best I've seen.

I would use these for summer and my stock 18's with snows for winter.
Yes another NE RS6 guy! :snow:

Thanks,

Mark

19x9
29mm offset

i think you can fit a 265/35/19 on them.

RS6 offset is 35mm, RS4 is 29 so these rims will stick out 6mm (1/4") more than the stock rims. Could be an issue for those running lowered suspension.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeHNZMqDttk&NR=1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeHNZMqDttk&NR=1)

I think they look really good on the RS6, but mixing wheels between models / generations is one of my pet hates.

DHall1
October 4th, 2009, 17:34
That ^^ is a good find and excellent video of what the wheels look like in many angles and rolling.

Thanks for that.

I can understand about mixing rims/years. But, if you choose the right mix and research it well. You can pull it off. I have never been a big HRE, Kinesis, xyz aftermarket fan due to the cost. I dont have 8-10 thousand dollars to spend on proper rims. Thus, I have never purchased any. I will post some pics of my Toyotas and you will see what I mean about mixing rims/years.

HREs are priced crazy and really aren't all that hot IMO...
