VW is reviving the old GTD badge on the Golf VI, and I must say, I'm very glad to see this!

IMO it needs more than "just" 170Hp! 2.0TDI with 200Hp would do the job :)

Well..., if VAG release that long waited 2.0 ''TT''DI that wouldn't be no problem!

It was easy for Volkswagen to put the existing 170 bhp engine in the GTD, if it sells well I'm sure they'll consider putting the 200 bhp 2.0 litre engine in.
By the way, I prefer the more subtle silver grille detailing to the red stuff on the GTI. I think some of the detailing on the new GTI, including the black inserts on the alloy wheels look a bit too aftermarket accessory. I almost prefer the Golf V's understated details but the styling of the mark V! is overall much better. GTD or GTI, both are great cars: perfect for these times.
