As a new owner of an RS6, I would like to exlore the speed/handling of my new car. Are there any "driver training" type events offered by Audi where I could do this? I have no track experience, so I would prefer to try this with an experienced teacher/driver.

I live in central NJ so a track not too far from here would be best. I also would be willing to fly somewhere if they had RS6s available for this type of practice.

My best recommendation is join the Audi Club North America (formerly known as the Quattro Club, - http://www.audicarclubna.org/). The Northeast Chapter is having a Driver's School and Safety Seminar at Watkins Glen, NY on Aug 25 - 26. This is exactly the kind of event I think you will benefit from. You get classroom sessions, drive your car in the exercises and with a qualified instructor on the track at all times. Here is their URL (http://www.borg.com/%7Eneq/).

I hope this helps.

Jimmy is correct. You will not find any oppourtunities to drive AoA RS6s, as all are being sold. In fact, the RS6s used for tech training were the same as the press ones, so they couldn't really do too much to them.

Audi Car Club puts on great events, and once you go on thr track you will be addicted, trust me.

2 pieces of advice:

1. Change oil and brake fluid before AND after the event
2. Count on replacing your tires soon after the event.
