the new Golf 6 GTI will get the new XDS LSD. (its an audi devoplment). so its for transversal engine layout. i expect to see the next gen A3 and all other transversal audis in future (FWD) with the XDS. BUT will it be possible to put this into longitudinal engines? like next gen A4, A6..... (FWD) ???

You get maximum traction capacity with the XDS system.
The addition of the XDS system will led to a substantial increase in both driving comfort and safety.
This electronic system works together with ESP as a self-blocking differential, improving the car's performance in situations where traction is lost by braking the wheel that loses surface grip.

Hello!
This is my first post in this forum...nice place to discuss about VAG.

Since the Golf 6 GTI debut, I have a guestion in my mind.
Whether XDS is some kind of 'real' LSD(Electro-hydraulic multi plate clutch fitted with differential)?
or just a electronic programe integrated with ESP?
