While much of the attention at the Aston Martin display in Geneva was focused on the limited edition One-77 supercar, the company also used the show to debut their new V12 Vantage coupe.

Power comes from a massive 6.0-liter V12 engine that cranks out 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque. Aston Martin predicts a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h). For comparison, the company's entry-level V8 Vantage coupe is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine which produces 420 bhp and 470 Nm of torque, enabling the car to run from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 180 mph (288km/h).

The coupe draws inspiration from the V12 Vantage RS Concept which debuted back in 2007 at the opening of Aston Martin's new design center in Gaydon. Compared to the V8 Vantage, the new version features several minor exterior differences including an aggressive new front bumper with larger air intakes and a lower spoiler, more aerodynamic side skirts, unique wheels, and a ventilated hood. In the rear there is a slightly larger rear spoiler, a fantastic looking diffuser, a new dual exhaust system with larger tips, and clear taillights.

Virtually everything remains unchanged in the cabin expect for the addition of piano gloss black trim, sports seats, and an Alcantara covered steering wheel.

Production will be limited to 1,000 units and the first deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2009.

I adore this car, love the looks and the new details! The only concern I have is if it's going to sound as good as the V8 model? :love2:

Here's an excellent video with sound (http://www.drivers-republic.com/first_look/news/details.cfm?articleid=73bdb48e6f4e408e9d15d8346ad2 f41a) (a few revs at standstill). It belts out one of my favorite sounds ever, for what it's worth.
