Why did they have to put a wing on it!

with the wing the car looks complete in my eyes. also it brings downforce.

I just feel like a honda tuner grabbed the car and threw it on :applause:

Audi could have easily made the car have the same amount of downforce that wing provides (should it even provide any beneficial downforce) with simply changes to the ground effects. I don't think a wing belongs on any Audi, but that me.

That rearspoiler is the first thing that have to go, it's hideous.
I hope it's optional.

I like the engine, I like the engine spec's, but I don't like this car... Sorry, I know I'm going to be ''flamed'', but it just don't ''work'' for me. Maybe I will change my opinion when I see it ''flash''...

I saw the beast yesterday at the Geneva motor show. In real it looks stunning i.e. agressive, compact muscle body, just ready to blow. I can't immagine the car on 20" RS wheels in real (255/30/20)

The interior is like a cockpit. Beautifully finished and the buckets are just perfect really (low and wide enough). Driving position is the best in an Audi I ever owned or tried so far. You simply can't drive this think slowly. It gives you a strong feeling of power, huge grip, great responsiveness and dynamic really. The gear box is very short a precise.

I met my dealer who gave me the usual nice RS brochure and I expect all prices and options by e-mail shortly (not available on paper). My dealer told me they sold 3 TT RS at the auto show. First delivery week 27th. No test drive car prior to the same date (at least in Switzerland).

I really stayed a long moment around the car and I am know wondering about the fixed wing. I think I like it more and more now. Not sold yet though.

A well loaded TT RS without "crazy" extras such as delimiter 280km/h, painted back of seats, exclusive paint (quite expensive) should be at CHF 100k-105k max without commercial gesture... which isn't that bad at all.

slow down Fab, slow down :wo:

I have to wait to be home to listen to it ... but I'm wondering how noticeable the difference is with the sport exhaust offered as an option... but this is probably THE option to go for !

That would be ~65k Euros, which sounds a bit optimistic to me considering that most things seem to be options on that car.

edit: Forgot about the low taxes on cars in Switzerland, it would be ~77k over here, which is a bit surprising as well, as a fully specced Cayman S comes out of the configurator with 80k. So they basically cost the same, only that the Cayman S offers a PDK for that price...

FYI, the swiss price list can be found here:

It is probably heresy to mention the new Focus RS in this context, I know - but this TT RS of ours looks really expensive for what you get engine-wise:vhmmm:

For sure the Focus RS is going to be a good drive but the TTRS is just so much more, suprisingly the TTRS is a little bit lighter even with its 4wd and then even though ~40ps and ~40Nm extra the TT has doesn't seem like much, the TTRS gets its higher output with less boost while also being more efficent and if you look at the power/torque curves there is a massive difference, the Focus has peak torque from 2,300-4500rpm while the TTRS gives you peak torque all the way from 1,600-5,300rpm.

Then there are many more things you money is going towards, just for a small example, bigger brakes(336mm vs 370mm even thought TTRS is lighter), active exhaust and the interior, just to mention a few.

A nice thought, but on the other hand no.

The TT-RS is so much more than an Focus RS. Think way more.. :king:

Gentlemen, I am definately not putting down the TT RS - just pointing out that it is expensive considering a fairly thin std spec and "only a 5 pot engine". Have you checked out the price of these nice buckets pictured in this thread for example?
