Still waiting for my all new S4 but already feel the urge to make
it even faster * Grinzzz *

Just got some info from Milltech and AMDTechnik from their
upgrade packages they developed together with Lister Audi
of UK.
Three stages are :

Stage 1
E.C.U Remap
380+ BHP

Stage 2
E.C.U Remap &
Milltek Cat Back
System
396+BHP

Stage 3
E.C.U Remap,
Sports Cats &
Milltek Cat Back
System
415+BHP

I have attached the dyno plots from the top two stages
i received from them.

Amd states further :

" The dip in the plot is where the manifold change over point is in the intake system and is not noticeable up the road."

For prices varying from £ 850 to approx £ 2750 excl VAT

Anyone knows how this influences your Audi Warranty ?
Should i also have other brakes installed too ??
40+ Hp for an ECU remapping is that possible ??

Thanks roel! Incredible increase. Either the S4 V8 engine has more potential (maybe RS4 mk II will show) or something is not right.

Getting that power out of that engine is not the problem, but by just changing chip and exhaust...?

NA engine, 40hp with ECU remap and exaust... (I doubt a little bit but we'll see)...

Also, for the warranty, it's up to the dealer but usually, they are fast in voiding warranties... If they find out you have a chipped car and you run into a tranny problem, they could tell you it's because it cannot handle the extra power or even worst, if your engine breaks...

People must be careful when they are modding but if possible, I will mod mine... Btw, I test drove the S60r yesterday night, if some wants to see my long review, here's the link:

Back in 2001 I had a similar re-mapping done to My S6 (Tip).

I got 385 hp/283 kW from the remapping alone with 488 Nm/360 lb-ft.

By removing the catalytic converters and fitting a straight through resonators, I got another 15 hp/11 kW.

I have done over 30.000 km/18650 miles since the re-mapping was done and had no problems whatsoever.

The car, at sea level does the 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.9 seconds.

Go to the link for the dyno data before the cats were removed. You can also read on the site how it was done.

I'm not really puzzled by these gain numbers.

50hp on a 344hp is like 14% gain : is that really spectacular for a combination of ECU and Exhaust ?

Cause it's nowhere near the 30-40% gain on TDI engine with a simple ECU change from mass-market producers like SuperChips.

AVDH,

Found this post today, but the page links are dead. Are you able to redirect me? Just purchased a C5 S6 Avant, and very curious what options exist to step up the performance. Have had good success with my 1.8T but none of the vendors I know have much for the S6.

Interested in anyone's comments on upgrade paths for this vehicle. Bone stock NA 2003 S6 Avant.

Best,
Ken
