odd- not sure about the V6 replacement for the regular uplevel TT. silly. i would assume the TTS would get that engine and the regular TT would be uprated to 250 hp entry level- with the 2.0 turbo...

Under the hood, the engine develops 350 hp which means that the new car will be a real monster on the streets. According to our sources there is a possibility to see an even more powerful version of the vehicle developing up to 390 hp.

is this possible. and what could be the name of it? TT RS plus (version like from old RS6) ???

BTW: i read everywhere that the TT-RS would use a new Haldex system. which has a similar effect like the Sportdiff. on the B8 S4. Knows everyone more?

It will have 250kW/340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, not 350.

LOL- yeah. it will be called stage 1. i can't imagine what a stage 3 will do. if this engine block is a solid as the B5 S4's it will be audi's second coming. this is where this car is superior to the ghayman- ease-of-tuning potential.

The TT RS is very fast on the Norschleife and it's most likely that it uses the new Haldex XWD.
Tuning will be from 400+ (stage1) up to 625 hp based on a 500 hp possibility by a 2.0TFSI.

this is where this car is superior to the ghayman- ease-of-tuning potential.

The Cayman s comes w/ a very restrictive exhaust (as do all Porsches) Milltek exhaust gives the 987 Cayman S an additional 21HP.APR chip gives another 25 HP.
46 additional horses from a NA engine....The Cayman isn’t exactly a Gayman after all.

yeah. 46 extra hp. With the I5-Turbo you'll get 146 with a "small" chip :D
Don't want to think about a "biiig" chip :D

Pre-production with 340 Hp.
btw, Raeder-motorsport is doing that time with a 330 hp, 100 Kg lighter TT-S.

The TT/RS is very capable of beating the time set for the RS4, in fact I would expect it to better even the M3 but I will be surprised if Audi allow for a production ready TT/RS to beat the time set by the R8. Remember I was told that the TT/RS would be the king of current RS models, well that day of reckoning will soon be with us, expect a time of 8:04 if conditions are right and it gets to use sticky rubber. If it's less than that then even I will be shocked.

As for the debate on whether or not a S/Tronic will be offered, some time ago I was told that the answer was yes but not at launch. Whether this means 6 or more months away I don't know but this engine will be in more than just the TT and to expand into different transverse models will require the inclusion of a dual clutch gearbox.
