- direct injection
- start-stop function
- 30% less fuel consumption
- more efficient motor-generator-management
- regulated oil- and water pumps
- 6,3l V8 end of production in 2012
- next generation will be from 4,6 to 5,5l V8 N/A and Bi-Turbo
- debut is new CSL end 2010
- as N/A engine we'll se it in new S-class by the end of 2009
6,3l V8 will only survive after 2012 in the gullwing follow and in the McLaren P11
