Hi all,

A note from another member says the Bently service manual does not cover the timing belt replacement.

What manual is out there to detail this procedure?

Thanks,
Dave

Didn't somebody's wife buy them a CD with the manual on it around christmas time?

Some say the bentley manual is great others say it's kind of garbage.

I've looked through the Bentley and it seems to be great for common things between the A6 and RS6. Unfortunately, the RS6 has a lot of unique aspects...probably why it's so cool. If the CD has the info that's great, I'll order one.

Does anyone have this Audi manual?

Does it cover the V8 timing belt job?

We subscribe to Alldata at the shop, and it does cover timing belt replacement in quite some detail. I know Alldata offers a package for regular consumers, IIRC its about $39.00 a year, but it only covers one car. each additional car you wish to add is like $19.00. Its offers step by step instructions, exploded views of each individual part, torque specs, and a list of required VAG tools for each operation. I've found Alldata to be extremely useful on all of my Audis so far.

I have heard of Alldata.

Interesting. So, this subscription gets you access to the manuals?

Anyone else have this?
