What are thoughts on this? Should I do one or the other first, or will I be safe doing the chip first?

I want Revo so bad! :mech:

Thanks!

Well, as I incorrectly thought, Spidercat had his revo for quite a while before he got his MTM TCU. And I don't think you need new exhaust..

Like DWD said, you don't need to upgrade exhaust. MTM TCU takes 3 days if sent to Hoppen Motorsports in FL.

I cannot get Hoppen to answer the damn phone or give me a call back and as far as the chip goes with an "off the shelf" tune you will be fine but if you go custom with upward of 18PSi of boost then you will put stress on the turbos as they can flow free enough on the exhaust side.....

Get the Revo now. You can do the TCU later.

Start saving for the transmission rainy day fund. It will come calling.

why Revo? its not that good.
better you go for a MTM or Ziptuning ajustment.
Ziptuning tuned my engine to 950Nm and 630hp, tested on dyno.
im happy with result.

I've never heard of Ziptuning here on this side of the pond. MTM is certainly well known and well regarded. There are plenty of people on the boards who have and love Revo.

yes okay,
Ziptuning is big in Europe.
4 workshops located in europe. Its acually bigger then MTM.

but any whay, its the result that counts. MTM is good and Zip to.
Revo i tested several times on my old cars. i was not happey with the results all the time. Now im happy with the tuning on my rs6.

check out my RS6 on dyno at ziptuning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq11Mh8u59I

Does chipping void your aftermarket warranties?

normaly yes you loose it, but at Ziptuning they takeover those warrenties.
Its on them website, written in dutch.
But you coult call or email them to ask, maybe you can ship your ecu.

Dont forget to ship your transmission ECU if you drive the RS6 V8.
otherwise you end up with a donkey RS6
