Audi AG will not be present @ the 2009 Auto Salon of Geneva.
Swiss general importer AMAG Audi will do the honors.

The "No Show" of Audi AG will also mean no TT RS introduction.

This is leaving it very close to the expected launch date if they wait until the next Motorshow. Is there anyone around this time which may be used to present the TT/RS to the public?

Why no show?

Surely Geneva is the most prestigious motor show of the year. I was there last year and it was awesome. Much better than detroit or london. Never been to paris/frankfurt.

there is no reason audi can't introduce a car. they can subsidize in some small way. in the US american car dealers are the ones that put up the money for some of the major shows.

if there is an audi stand there is an intro. btw- geneva is a prime show- top of its kind, in fact. i would be SHOCKED if there wasn't a big intro at the show.....

Never been to Geneva, but every two years in Frankfurt at the IAA since 1989.
Do a two day stint, to enjoy it at the fullest.

For the german manufacturers - this is the car show. And 2009 is IAA year again.

audi has the RS5, TTRS, and new A8 to show this year.

to a lesser extent- the facelifted Q7 too.

this latter could be an online thing. but at least 2 of the other 3 merit a car show. i doubt audi would present two in frankfurt.

Audi A1, A8, R8 roadster, TT RS, A5/S5 Cabrio, A7.

Jarod.

But i do think that Audi differentiates between:

new model: A1, A8, A7

and

new model variant: R8 roadster, TT RS, A5/S5 Cabrio.

Not sure in what category the Q7 facelift should go :vhmmm:

So it can well be, that they show a new model AND a new model variant at the same show
