To me it sounds like a NA V8, but then again I only have the laptop speakers.

to me it sounds like NA V8 with DSG.... nut ok since then looks like AUdi changed their mind onj the engine anyway....

sounds nice. definitely DSG. not sure it couldn't be turbo. only two camps remain- those who say it is an updated NA high rev V8 and those who say it is a TT V8 of lower displacement.
i think we will find out in geneva.

Yeah, based on the soundtrack, I would also say NA V8 + DSG.

No way that's a N/A engine, sounds like a 100% Supercharger to mee .

oh no i dont hope thats true. wolfgang hatz (engine development guy from audi) said that all above V6 would be turbos in future. just with the new S4 engine the supercharger was better packaging. i hope thats true.

Though not TT, I believe it will run a supercharger unit (aka S4 style).
I will be proven right...........................though is might take a year or two. :looking:

I thought the exact same on the slow speed and taking off from a stop part of the video but on the high speed runs around the ring it sounds so like the S5 with a bit more upper volume.
The only thing we can definitely agree on is that it's S/Tronic. :D

Who here has thought after watch this video and the one of the TT/RS that both cars look very capable and quick around the ring. I am expecting very impressive times from both cars, will we see the RS5 get below the magic 8 minutes and is it possible for the TT/RS to get close to the M3's 8:05. :hahahehe:

In the video posted, the RS5 sounds like a very high reving V8, even if I didn't read that possibility here, I'd still say it sounds like a V8 version of the Lambo V10...
560/10*8=448... ;)
Nevertheless, I'd like to see two turbos :)

Thats sounds tremendous. Seems alot louder than the M3. One of my biggest dissapointments with the M3 was how quiet the engine was inside the cabin.

My own personal feeling has always been that the RS5 would be forced but after getting a reply from a friend who knows for certain I have to concede that it will run a high revving N/A, well at the start at the very least.
