R&T Powertrip with a few interesting cars.

R&T Article (http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=663&page_number=1)

Audi RS 6 does 0 - 100 - 0 mph in 16.3 secs.

0 - 100 - 0 data (http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=663&page_number=11)

E55 vs. RS6 (http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=663&page_number=2)

Think about this:

"...0-100-0 history, even the slowest Audi RS 6 is faster than the 1994 Porsche Turbo, registering 16.3 sec. on the clock. In fact, the Mercedes E55 AMG sports sedan is as fast as the 1996 Viper GTS..."

:hmm: maybe it was a density altitude issue that the turbo's/supercharger were only able to compensate for partially. And or maybe it was an entirely different type of road surface i.e. concrete vs asphalt. Couple those variations with significant temperature differentials and you will certainly get different results IMHO.
