Hi
I am reading the forum for some time !
My car is the new RS6 Avant .
But now I have a question, what are your opinions about SUPERCHIPS ?
They didn't finish the soft so far but in the near future they will finish it !
About me , because it is my first post , I am from Romania , Bucharest , this is my 2 Audi and the 4 in my family.

In conclusion : 4 RINGS 4 EVER !

Some photos (the orange one is my old car , A4 with full body kit of RS4 ):

Welcome to the Forum!

Thought that was a real RS4 then :hihi:
Re-map/Superchips in the RS 6 give some amazing performance figures
to it and should improve the fuel a lil if you drive it like a old man which
must be hard with 700BHP under your right foot!:jlol: im sure that there is
somebody on here called 'Jonas' with a ABT Re-map on his C6 RS6 ask him
about what he thinks of his chip.IMO i would have one if i got myself a C6 RS6
think it will mess up your warranty with Audi though not sure maybe one of the
RS6 docs can answer that...

(BTW did you win against that porsche??)

:addict:

I don't like Superchips.

I would recommend a serious tuner like MTM or Abt.

Yes probably you are right but can you tell me why do you have this opinion about superchips ?

@54m: Yes first time I beat him but the second time he beat me , that is a 911 turbo with the turbines changed .

Superchips are junk. IMHO

Given your location, I would only choose MTM.

I would never chip that car. 100k euros and warranty out the window. 580hp is not enough?

From a previous, very bad experience on a Volvo. :w:

After that I can never recommend Superchips.

I was in contact with a senior manager in ABT asking if they have any upgrade levels more than what I have in my C5 ABT RS6 507BHP and this is was his reply:

"
thank you for having chosen one of our products.
Regarding the engine modification you already have the highest power range that we do offer for the RS6. We always look for our modifications that it has a high value for the customer in terms of long lasting stability of the engine, modification in the limits that does make sense for a every day use, in all kind of weather conditions and an increase that the customer will feel a difference between the original and the Abt modification. There are surly other companies out that does offer higher power ranges for the RS6, but please be aware that this will limit the lifetime of the engine and other related parts. "

Superchips in the USA are like the KMart of tuners. Many failures and many cases of no gains whatsoever to the vehicles. My opinion is that that Superchips are selling snake oil.

Again, IMHO

I have tuned, I have sold and tuned real software that allows full tuning of factory ECU tables. Not on Audi ECUs yet but tuning is tuning.

I agree with the ABT statement below.

100%

It was done in Athens, Greece. Easy job via OBD (download original software from both master & slave ECUs, send to MTM, receive modified software and upload it back to your car's master & slave ECUs). Don't think you need to get your car to MTM headoffice!
The cost is as per pricelist on mtm website http://www.mtm-online.de

I had a Superchips chip in my old Porsche Turbo and it caused the car to shutdown completely occaisonally. I would have to stop the car turn off the key then turn it back on and restart. Went with an Autothority chip in the Porsche and all was well again. Thankfully no known damage.

yep, thats me :hahahehe:
i just love the chip, the extra power is enourmous. i mean it was fast before but now its just insane. the 150nm that were added make it a real rocket...just so brutal
i can recommend ABT, they did a great job. i am sure MTM isnt bad either but i went with ABT mainly because of the warranty and ABT's racing history with audi.
regarding the warranty: ABT will takeover the complete warranty that you get when you purchase the car. if you have any problems just contact ABT and they will take care of
everything. so you have 100% warranty coverage just like it was before the tuning!

Merry Chistmas to everybody!

you can ship the ECU/TCU to MTM overnight and get it back in couple of days (TNT or similar from your place).

Whatever you do, get the gearbox chip as well. I can vouch for MTM - had in in S4, S6, RS6, RS6+ and no problems. :thumb:

Abt warranty does not work for us in this part of EU (no matter what the arsehole$$ in Brussels will say...:hihi: ) ....

Superchips is no go - almost anybody can rewrite software ... 700 hp claim with a chip is a bs
