I have lost track of the number of Audi’s that have been stolen & used in crimes in Sydney. There is an article in the local paper every month regarding S3,RS6,RS4 or S4 owners getting carjacked.
Look what car was used last month.

RS4 saloons (sedans) have become popular getaway cars, so they seem to get stolen.

Usually by breaking into the owner's house and stealing the keys.

Please get ready for these sorts of things here in the states.

Tough times means the criminals will get more brazen.

My RS6 and wifes AMG E55 are always inside locked and all the keys are locked away as well.

Hide your car keys. It literally takes 30 seconds to break glass, get in, grab keys and out the garage. Even if you have an alarm..the crooks will be out the door with a $$$ car in less than 1 minute. Dont think this will not happen to you.

The B5 platform is a popular theft in the NYC/NJ area.

I am happy to say that my S4 has only been stolen once so far!

The B5 platform is a popular theft in the NYC/NJ area.
The immobiliser on the B6/B7 is much more difficult to get round than the one on the B5 (hence the different insurance ratings for them here in the UK).

B6/B7s tend to get stolen by first breaking into the house and stealing the keys (or by carjacking or threatening the owner), but B5s get stolen without need for the key.
