I can't believe the bidding only went to $25,101! It is a buyer's market for sure. Now I think I overpaid for mine I just bought a month ago

I dont think all Ebay ads are a gauge of what our cars are worth. Most cars are wholesale auction quality pieces(85-95%). Which means they are passed around, nicked up, scrapes and dings and no warranty. Find one from a real owner that gave the car proper care and upkeep and the value goes up 40%. But, overall its only about 5% of the cars listed out there.

So many factors can go into each auction. Region, color, the right buyer looking at the right time, ect.

Credit is non existant right now. You need the right buyer, that may take time.

FYI, another ebay auction for a low mileage RS6 went to 42k. It had 26k but had an extended warranty for the added safety. I think thats why it sold. I know thats why it sold.

Yeah, I saw that one after I looked at completed listings and was going to mention it, but my PC locked up :(

I know having a warranty is a big plus on these (part of the reason I bought the one I did), but is it worth a $10K+ premium?

Yes, every time.

This is a hand built 90k car with a few known trouble spots. I say big deal. Now, go find another 450hp Quattro sedan for 35k and call me. :-)

Torque converter locks up/gives no notice. 8k
Turbo locks up/gives no notice. 10k must replace in pairs
DRC...yeah big deal. put coilovers or turn into ext warr. 6k

Do the math. Any one of the above and you just paid for the difference. Drive the car and enjoy it. We will never see anything like it again. :addict: Everything else is just about bullet proof. Do your maint and replace a few suspension bushings from time to time. Thats all.
