So, itīs about time to show some pics of my new car. Took delivery this friday and havenīt had that much time to drive it yet. But it is a truly amazing machine!

The car is Balloon White, with all extra options, except CCBīs as I didnīt really like how they behaved when I had a testdrive a couple of months ago. I also ordered some extra pieces of carbon, around the e-gear buttons and the plates under the door. I hope you like it.

Some delivery pics:

Is the LP-560 even available with a manual gearbox? :vhmmm:

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for all the kind words.
At least it WAS possible to order the LP560 with manual, but now Iīm not sure.

Manuals has its charm, I know. I ordered it with e-gear because the new version is far better than the old one, quite an easy pick for me at least.

Very nice, but i would choose those wheels in black.

btw, is there a manual gearbox option for the LP560-4 ? or only the crappy E-Gear.

Yes, the new version is supposed to be faster, smoother and that take-off thing is improved as well. Quick!

Dear Friends,

yes- the LP560-4 comes with an 6-speed manual as standard. The E-Gear is a option. Due to re-engineering the E-Gear, "economy" is increased over the manual:

E-Gear combined fuel consumption: 14.0L (Co2: 327 g/km)

Manuel combined fuel consumption: 14.7L (Co2: 351 g/km)

Shift times are lowered by 40 percent, transmission weight is also lowered. Five mods to choose, including the new "Corsa" mode.

Overall, in my eyes the best Lamborghini yet.

According to Lambo, manual will soon no longer be avaliable, just a matter of time.

Thanks for the info.

What are the factory claimed 0-200 and 1/4 mile times?
Is it faster than Scuderia:king: or on par:cheers: ?

Check this: http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/download/1108_rt_lambo_dp.pdf

Extrapolating from the 0-120 mph time of 9.7 seconds, I'm guessing 10.2 or so to 200 kph (124 mph).

1/4 mile in 11.2 @ 129.5 mph is VERY impressive.

BTW, Ricoloco - sweet ride - Enjoy it!! :incar:

Factory claimed 0-200km/h - 11,8s

Results from various european tests - 11,0s - 11,7s

0-120mph in 9,7s from american Road and Track equals about 10,6s for 0-200km/h (+0,6s for those 4mph, and +0,3s for rollout)

I am always wary of American results, they always seem to be vastly different to ours. This rollout, why have it when no other country seems to use the system of testing, a standing start means exactly that 'standing still' not starting the measuring after the car has started to move.

I wouldn't be surprised if the car manufacturers chose this system to boost their performance figures for a gullible audience, no offence to the American people.

Ricoloco,

Congrats on the purchase. After having extensively driven an 05', and a few miles on a 07', I can only imagine the new LP560-4. Fantastic cars and I absolutely love them. And now in the States, the new ones come with 3 year, UNLIMITED miles warranty.

What is the warranty like in Sweden?

Congrats again.

This method is used by US magazines because the US embraces "Drag Racing" more than any other country, and this timing method is used in Drag Racing.

IMO, it shouldn't make the results "suspect", but rather it's important to understand the conditions for testing when any performance figures are quoted, as our colleague has graciously pointed out.

Finally, as an editorial comment, I find UK mags' general LACK of emphasis on emprical data to be the most refreshing thing about them. They never let numbers get in the way of communicating how a car *feels* to drive, which is all that really matters, away from the timing lights.
