Question about Wheels and Tires

I am highly considering 19 inch HRE wheels. I know that the Factory 19 inch wheels are 19X8.5 with 255/35/19 tires. I'd like to go with 19X9 and 265/35 or 265/30, what is recommended and how wide can I go without rubbing?

In order to keep the same circumference as your original tyres you'll have to choose the 265/30 or 255/35

If you use 265/35 you will make the final drive longer than it already is, may loose a bit of acceleration performance and your speedo will be out.

As for 9" wide fitting, I haven't got a clue.

Thanks everyone! I decided to go with BBS LM in 19X8.5 and stay with 255/35/19.

Good choice on the BBS LM 19X8.5. I was think of the exact same wheel on mine!! :D

Actually the factory 5-spoke 19 in wheel is 19X9 with the 255/35 tires.

Really? I wonder why BBS didn't make a 19X9 for the RS6?
