today with an O.CT chip. The rated power is 500 HP 490 lb ft of torque. I imagine that those are somewhat conservative numbers ! The speed limiter was reset to 310 KPH !! I am going for a drive now...

substantially more torque and vitaliity. This car is so different I don't know where to begin. While I know that the speed limiter has been reset to aproxamately 192 MPH, I have not been there yet. I can say however that with out any drama I saw the speedo swing past the 140 MPH mark. I must say it was not even breathing hard !!

I do have the new G-Tech and a stop watch so I will be posting times as soon as I can safely run the car again.

I will keep you all posted

Bob, welcome to the forum!

With the G-Tech you don't need a stop watch, it's very accurate. :D

Sounds impressive:addict:

What kind of 0-60MPH times etc do you achieve on an RS6 with these horsepower levels?

Bob,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Beast. You must have one of the first chipped RS6s in the USA! I'll be looking forward to your performance info and stats. Are you going to be at the Big E in West Springfield this weekend?

Bob,

I look forward to reading your test results. How much does Stratmosphere charge to fit the chip?

Bob,

Are there any "side effects" of the chip? I seem to remember one of the European chipped cars (it wasn't O.CT) experienceing some hesitation or roughness on the downshift ...

I would be suprised to see more than .1 second difference in the 0-60 time, due to the dynamics of the car- I would expect the 60-100 car to drop dramatically though....

Yeah, wasn't that what happened with the Misano Red RS 6 that was chipped here in Sweden with a Hohenester chip?

Still, I'm a bit surprised that people do decide to chip their beasts. In my opinion the cost vs. power increase isn't justifying it if you understand what I mean.
