Hi gang,

this story might as well start: "when the postman rang twice"

1st time he rang, that's what he brought
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.de/lh/photo/-FCvqz0vht4DbasK_x_GgA"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_YUA_2bpYLCM/SRV3jpUwNjI/AAAAAAAADBE/q5y8jgQtLpw/s800/CIMG0400.JPG" /></a>

Found them on eBay and got them for a bargain. Original Audi 18'' wheels in the RS6 C5 design. There is a nail in one of the tires, but that was fine with me, because the postman rang a second time:

Dunlop Winter Sport 3D 235/40 R 18

I wanted to have the same wheel size for the winter and original Audi wheels.

So here the summer setup

Needless to say - i'm more than satisfied :jlol:

As the temperature dropped just recently, i will be able to give you some tyre experiences in the comming weeks. In the dry & wet, they handle very good

cheers

My first look at this thread...

You did a wright thing with this set of wheels. Summer set looks better, but for winter these will be just fine.

It will be interesting to see winter 18s performing trough Austrian snows. :D

At first, i was not sure about 18'' winter tires. But as we do not get a lot of snow in the Vienna area, the dry & wet performance is the most important to me. And i did not really want to get smaller "shoes".
But i should be able to give some observations regarding snow performance after the planned skitrip to tirol :)

Thank you. Yes and yes = A4 Avant 2.0 TDI quattro (170HP) s-line in & out.
