Beside that it's muts better looking then the A5 coupe and more practical IMHO.

sorry guy. like the metroproject quattro and the TT shooting brake this car will not come to be. and i cannot see how this car could look better than the A5 coupe design. i think this was thrown out there just to feed the fires, not to really claim this car will be produced. some of the other renditions (like the A7 and new A8) will. but not this one.

I am 100% certain that the A5 Sportback is coming. In fact it's due early next year.

I have seen and heard the planning also, but I don't like the idea of an A5 Sportback, because it is just too much the same, it also looks like the A7, so why an A5 Sportback??

I don't see the reason to produce such a car. Its just an A5 with 4 doors to me:vhmmm: :vhmmm: . Ok, it will look good, but is there a need for this car??

RXBG, why the hate for the A5 Sportback? Do you really find it that ugly? Seriously? Me, I'd go full wagon but it is pretty nice. Like the coupe looks with wagon 5th door practicality.

I just want to say that the models Audi want to introduce in the near future look very similar. The A4 and the A6 have very small differences after the facelift for the A6(look to the rear lights for example), and if the A5 Sportback comes, this differences will be even smaller between these models....that's my only concern. Of course it wil sell.........

yeah but look, the A4 has similar design to A5 and the A5 and A4 has won alot design trophys. so its maybe boring (not in my eyes) but very succesful.

tvrfan beat me to it (although in a different context). an A5 sportback would be Audi's version of the X6. a completely pointless car made to saturate the model lineup. I hate the idea of it. Pretty or not, Audi should not make this car (at least imho).

What does it do that the A4, A6 and A7 won't?

and the A5 will always be a prettier car than any 4-door variant of it. Jarod, I couldn't disagree with you more about this being prettier than the coupé.

I was wondering the same thing. So this A5 Sportback is gonna some sort of Passat CC for Audi, that's the only place it makes sense to me....it does look great IMHO.
