What Continentals are these?I suppose not sportcontact 3.Also I thing sedan version will be quicker for aerodynamics reasons. Do you have any info about this?

You can read about it in English http://www.mtm-online.de/en/index.php?nav=2&id=101

In the news article there is the following text
On this occasion we measured the temperatures of engine and gearbox of our 730hp RS6R over several hundred kilometres with very good results.I do see some concern about engine and gearbox temperatures. To be honest such concerns put me off from tuning the car or shouldn't.

Purpose of such tests is to push the car to the limits. It is a very good reason to measure and watch different parameters of the car. And not just drive blindly for the sole purpose of maximun speed. It will be stupid and dangerous.

I take it exactly the opposite way: MTM is pushing the developpement car to such a limit that they can guarantee the car will stay safe and reliable for a normal driver. More important than the temperature of the gearbox and engine are the tires...

Frederic thanks for your input!
What you say makes sense but I got confused from the phrase "over several hundred kilometers". I thought that their observation is not related to the max. speed run but to the whole project.
