What is the most popular?

Size?

Offset?

Backspacing?

Center Bore?

I have to buy tires soon and need to see what works and looks best for a wheel upgrade.

Those are the types I want to buy as well. I am curious as to the best offset and back spacing. I see 26MM to 54MM. I think stock we are at 35MM. With about 6 back spacing.

At minimum I would plan powder coat my original stock RS6 wheels in Titanium.

I am actually going to do that before i put the 18s back on for winter...just hope i can explain how i want the center caps done clear enough so they don't screw them up.

Stock 18's is 30mm, 19's is 35mm. I'm running OEM S5 5 spoke with a 4mm custom spacer=28mm. A5's and S5's center bore is 66.56mm compared to all other Audis which are 57.1mm.:D

Did anyone actually do this? I am thinking of powdercoating my original stock 18s in Titanium (or darker). Any pics? Does the powdercoat hold up OK? What did it cost?

My car is Daytona Gray so I'm thinking of changing it up a bit with a gray-out (gray wheels, smoked tails, black grills).

I'm also pretty certain the OEM's are 38mm offset - not 30mm.

Bigglezworth, OEM US 18" wheels are 30mm, 100% verified.

WOW...that looks really, really nice! I'm generally not a fan of changing to newer OEM wheels (because they rarely match up with the older car's lines), but THAT is a really nice look; clean, conservative, and fills out the huge wheel wells nicely.

Shirley, you can't be serious about all these movie quotes, Ben?

Roger, huh?

Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges.

Rape, murder, rape . .

You said "rape" twice.

We like rape.

Phew, damn near lost a $3000 handcart.

I've had good experiences with this company. Their wheels are very nice looking, reasonably priced and (so far) have held up very well. I have the R8 knock-offs. If you read the "about us" section, the company sound pretty solid even after discounting the usual puffery.

You guys using spacers.....

Any issues in doing so?

How large a spacer have you used?

Anyone welded them on to the wheel? Just thought it might eliminate any balance issues...

welding = bad idea

You'll never get it perfectly balanced. Just get a high quality spacer that's hub centric.

It is refreshing that someone knows the movie quotes or that others ignore them....

high quality spacer is probably good advice.

I've seen spacers for sale (good ones) up to around 30mm, so I'm assuming if I can keep it under that, like 15-20, that I should be ok??

30mm is way too much. The most I've ran is 15mm in the back

...
Never had any issues with spacers. I'm running 4mm adapter spacers due to the hub difference on the S5 wheels.
