Perhaps they're waiting for someone to paint it before they put the badges on. http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/images/smilies/coffee.gif

Well I certainly became a lover of flat black after seeing these two Enzo Ferrari's at Ferrari Racing Days, last week at the Nurburgring. If I were to get another R8, it would be in this colour.

it's clearly visible, that this matt black on the Enzo is a sticker. Why not sticker your R8 for short time. It protects your original paint and you see if you would like it as a everyday color.

itisme (http://www.rs6.com/forum/member.php?u=57), Im not saying your wrong. I never looked at the paint job with that idea in mind. But I did look closely at the paint job, just to appreciated its texture, and I never saw the slightest hint of it being a vinyl covering anywhere.

Can you give me a link to a place where I can learn more about doing full body vinyl applications? I use vinyls only for racing numbers when I track my cars.

don't know exactly if I got you right, but here you can see, that this Enzo has a full body vinyl:

I´m from Germany and this is what I found on a short search with google:

there must be something similar in your state...

Yeah, cheaper to wrap in vinyl and gives you the choice of removing later for the color underneath. Also protects the paint.
