Do any of you have/use an OEM shop repair manual? I've confirmed you can get the shop manual from Audi which is a DVD with the same used by the techs in the shop. It is suppose to contain information and vehicle specifics for all A6/S6/Allroad/RS6 models from 1998 - 2005. I'm being quoted $150.00CAD and it takes approx 2 weeks to receive.

That's actually not bad at all.

There's a huge amount of info and in general, OEM service manuals are well worth the cost, even if it hurts the wallet up front.

esp. if we do a group buy and everybody chips in a $20 or something. Heh.

I have the DVD. My mom got it for me the first Christmas after I bought my RS6. So yes, it exists and is available to the public. Unfortunately, I haven't looked at it yet b/c the car's been completely under warranty for every issue I've had to tackle so far.

Blitzen - You got a DVD burner? I think there are more than a few who'd pay you a couple bucks to make copies. Or, how big are the files? I can offer to host them.

the security software used is very hard to deal with. When my notebook pc died I had to got through a hassle to get a new install code. I actually just plug the hard drive from that pc into my new notebook and could get it to run.
