And some people were told that with more power (310hp) it would be capable of closer to 8:15, given the facts that Horst is usually 5~8 seconds slower than test drivers, I said that info was spot on.

The Hockenheim time of 1.16,1min is well inside both the S5 and the 335i, proving that with more power the TT/S would have achieved it's time I was told.

Horst is usually within of 2s-3s from official Ring time... R8 was retested and you will see new results pretty soon... Just a hint new Hockenheim R8 time is 1.13,4min with standard Pirelli P Zero tires. Previous best was 1.12,7min with Corsas. And we know that Corsas are about 1,5s faster on Hockenheim then P Zeros...

BTW, TTS unofficial Ring time is 8.25s, NOT 8.15s...

And this info was available from whom? Anyway, as I said but you seem to have missed, the info provided to me was for a test mule with 310hp not 270hp and that will make a noticeable difference to a lap time.

8:25s is a good time in any case for a stock car with only 270hp, few are below this time which haven't been tuned specially for the purpose of going very quickly around corners with little regard to comfort. Namely the Megane R26R.

This is a result I don't a Z4 3.0Sport, 135i or any other BMW with similar power would be capable of equalling which in my mind places Audi ahead for the time being. :lovl:

No need to repeat myself other than say the TT/S is an incredibly capable car which will be bode well for when the TT/RS shows it's teeth. And it's time will be close to the 335i's big brother than anyone will have thought possible. ;)

I'm in agreement with your opinion but I will be surprised if officially it gets below 8 minutes. For a start that would put into question the expense of the R8 which is something Audi wouldn't want to do.

I reckon the M3's 8:05 is it's target time and is very achievable if the acceleration is there and it's got a decent topspeed on the really fast sections.
