HOOOOOOOOOOOLY SH*************************************T

what did they do? stick a hot poker in its a$$?

3595 lb curb weight. exact same wheel size and weight distribution as the R8. will the V10 R8 perform the same? only one thing matters now- the engine. the biggest question in the car industry should be- what will audi do to differentiate the engines in these cars? i am certain the transmission options will be exactly the same. will we find out any day now or in LA????????????? if the R8 V10 has the same engine, but has the advent of the magnetic suspension it will obliterate the GTR.

i won't sleep tonight.

Jesus Christ, those numbers are BRUTAL!!!!. I can only imagine what the R8 is going to do!!!.

Any guesses on the ring time?

i can honestly say that the LP560 has to have a ring time in the below 9:40 range. the only thing i need to hear more about is the handling. i am at a loss.... if the R8 handles so well and all it is missing is power (and the LP inherited the R8's suspension set up minus the magnaride which the V10 R8 will get) these cars will have to be within 4 seconds of each other and probably land a time of less than 7:30 around the ring. i am wondering if audi is saving a big headline to announce the R8 V10 with- "nurburgring time with street tires 7:29". that would be unreal.

Below 9:40 is for sure ;)

However, a rumor says Sport Auto drove the LP560 but they were not happy with that car and the time (higher than the Superleggera) so that test will not get published. They will drive another car.

the GTR was 7:29. the ZR1 7.26.4. what was the superleggera's?

i would be happy if the V10 R8 gave a 7.26.0 time

looks like the europeans are reclaiming the ring.

You can't compare times like that, as they are from different sources.

The Sport Auto lap, for instance, does not include section T13.

the times i posted come from the manuf... who i presume could do best with resp cars..... i hope lambo and audi does the same...

as a side note. road and track doesn't have a data pdf for the GTR, where i'd like to see the various 0-x mph times. the vette was able to put up such an astounding number because of its immense thrust. i don't think even the LP or V10R8 will be able to generate that. but i'd be a happy with an even 7:29 like the GTR.

Interesting that it limits 200rpm before the redline. Why do Lamborghini do that?

Still not sure that it with best either the Viper, ZR1 or GTR's times.

A Mosler MT900S 7.0, would probably beat any of the cars mentioned above in terms of 'ring time.
