First off, thanks for the great resource here at RS6.com. I picked up a new-to-me 03 RS6 last week and this site had been a great source of information to educate me on the beast I brought home.

Glad I went back to Audi, as this is my second, my first being a 1990 Coupe q.

Completely by accident, I found this car. A month ago, a new baby girl came home and we needed a bigger sedan and I went looking at a the 5 series, A6 2.7 & 4.2, etc. Fortunately, a dealer friend had this on his lot when I went to visit him last week. One test drive, I was sold.

It's a great car and now I understand the following.

I really don't need to ask any questions, as I know how to use the search function... :) I will go back to lurking...

Cheers!

Ray,

I have been looking for 6 months. Just bought my Avus/Black/Carbonfiber RS this week. I have to wait 9 more days to get my hands on it! Then its a cross country drive back to Colorado from So Cal. :hahahehe:

Post up some pics of your new ride. What are the specs...colors mileage

Thanks. I will do my part, just not sure what I can add right now.

Ray,

I have been looking for 6 months. Just bought my Avus/Black/Carbonfiber RS this week. I have to wait 9 more days to get my hands on it! Then its a cross country drive back to Colorado from So Cal. :hahahehe:

Thanks. It was really a whirlwind affair. I wasn't looking for a car that day, but it took just about 5 hours from first sight to it being plated and coming home.

Pics will be forthcoming, just waiting for the weather to cooperate. Plus, a business trip will have it sitting idle for a few days.

Mine is Avus/Black/Carbonfiber, too. 67K on the clock.

to be honest, that's how i bought my car. I went down to the dealership to look at a S4 but it was gone and my friend who brought me down there saw the RS6 and told me that I _had_ to test drive the car. So, I did and was in love. However, I was leaving the next day on a business trip and the price was higher than I wanted to pay. So, I said thanks but no thanks, gotta think about it. When I came back from my business trip the price had dropped and so I went down there to take another look. Three hours later, I drove home in my RS6, funny thing was, like lazlo, I didn't intend to buy a car that day.

Here my car sits at Penske West Covina. JCT from this group has given the thumbs up and driven the car. All the service checks out, its got new brakes front and rear and full 35k service just done. Michelin PS2s are like new.

Wow, cant wait.

Thanks. I will do my part, just not sure what I can add right now.

Yeeks, tell me about it. Odd

BTW, how do some of the posts get full size photos on the thread? I can only get the bitty thumbs.

dave, we're linking images from somewhere else, not uploading them.

For example, for this image: http://pictures.twilightstar.net/d/21134-2/IMG_0457.JPG

In the area where you type the message, you use this bit of HTML code: [img src=http://pictures.twilightstar.net/d/21134-2/IMG_0457.JPG] but replace [ ] with < >

For this result:

<img src=http://pictures.twilightstar.net/d/21134-2/IMG_0457.JPG>

And this would be bigger if I chose a larger photo, but you get the idea.
