My guess, a 4-door or a SUV.

Dear Friends,

Qisha ;)

I wish I understood what that means :)

Meanwhile, from MotiveMag.com :D

At the Paris show, Lamborghini will be releasing a two-door, convertible SUV that manages 250 mph on the ground, 600 mph in the air, or 50 mph under water. Power comes from a nuclear reactor and because of the safety precautions involved in such a means of propulsion, the vehicle will weigh approximately 12,000 pounds. Also, it holds just one passenger. And will cost $12.5 million. Just you watch--it's coming on October 1st, and it'll change the world.

Leadfoot
September 17th, 2008, 16:49
I think it's a smaller sportscar, similar to the Cayman is stature though traditional Lambo, meaning mountain of power (440hp) and priced between the 997 and the Turbo.

After that I would say a 2+2 sportscar to compete with the new Ferrari.

I hope you are right. Here are my 2 guesses.

1. Diesel SUV
2. Competitor to the new California.

RXBG

i get the Q riddle.

it is a retro style car of some sort that will put lambo back in front of the supercar pack in some way- perhaps thorugh some now defunct but revived tech or principle. maybe a modern day version of an old classic- espada or miura with a diesel engine?

JavierNuvolari
September 17th, 2008, 19:24
Miura with a transverse mounted engine??.

chewym
September 17th, 2008, 19:37
Inside Line says it will be a four door sedan based on the A8. This combination would work well with a 625 hp RS6 engine.

I´ve done some "research" (pulling some strings).

It´s probably NOT a SUV but a new SV version of the LP640 called LP680 with RWD. Will have some of the looks of both the LP560 and the Reventon.

But how does your theory go with the signifigance of “It’s not just a new Lamborghini, It’s a new world”

Based on the strength of the quote, I wouldnt consider a model using the same name ie: Gallardo or Murcielago a "New" Lamborghini. I would say its an updated Gallardo or Murcielago.

Well, either way, its coming soon.

RXBG
September 17th, 2008, 19:51
maybe they are replacing the murcielago? a 4 door sedan might be interesting but with bentley, RR's, panameras.... might be silly. then again, since porsche is about to cut the bull's ball's off and audi's tits maybe they'd better put it into production asap.

I´ve been thinking about that aswell. According to the picture, it´s quite obvious that it´s based on the current LP640. And Lambo has said that there will be another version of that car.

"It´s a new world" could mean two things, i think. Think green. Ethanol? Partly electricity?

Or, maybe, super lightweight, super advanced etc etc.....with some new technology from the Reventon.

Mr Balsen
September 17th, 2008, 19:57
sorry to insist but the pattern of the black grill is very very similar to the one used on the Lamborghini Marzal Concept Car. A 2+2 car which ends up as the Espada.

Take a look at this picture of the Marzal:

Inside Line says the car was only developed over the past 5 MONTHS. Why would that be? There is no such pressing need for 1) yet another Murciélago variant 2) an SUV?!? uh, no... 3) or another small, true sports car to complement the just-released Gallardo LP560. None of these options justifies the "new world" pitch line, either.

That said, Aston Martin and Porsche, two of Lamborghini's top competitors, are about to release 4-door sport sedans. Why would they wait until 5 months ago to start development of their own? Because they were finishing the development and launching of the Murciélago LP640, the Reventón, and the Gallardo LP-560. That's a lot of work for a company that is not quite GM-sized. However, 5 months of the entire company focusing on one car? That initially sounds unlikely, but given the situation, it's definitely plausible.

So, I'm no expert, but it looks to me like this will be a sport sedan. It's amazing that NOBODY heard of this project until so recently! I would love to see Lambo come outta nowhere and produce a legit competitor to Porsche's Panamera and Aston's Rapide.

Good point, it's like that for the Gallardo too:

Lambo has modified the second teaser on its official website. In the new one, side blade is different and the front tires' size is masked. It was 295/30/ZR19 which certainly points at a front engine car - it is 235/35 at Gallardo and 245/35 at Murciélago LP640.

i would also believe a TT powerplant. gives efficiency and performance. an upgraded RS6 engine making 640 hp and 520 lb/ft torque would do the trick. this is the reason sneaky audi had RS6 mules with this kind of insane power- they were planning this engine for lambo and some upcoming audis, not just the RS6. what i am really curious about now is the tranny. to be truly exceptional this car will need to have a DSG, a DSG that would likely be homologated for various models. could this be the DSG we will see paired with the upcoming 4.0TT in the A6, A7, Q7,and A8? and the RS4/5? :hahahehe:

quick audi. gets these cars out asap before porsche takes out its red marker.

I see all the mags are saying it will possibly run a diesel engine at some point. Could this be an Audi 4.2v8TDI or the 6.0v12TDI beast from the Q7.

I have not heard anything regarding TDI for this car.

I'm sure the UK magazines have running this idea with all of the press clips, plus WCF wrote something similar.

Following a tantalizing series of teaser images, the Lamborghini Estoque four door concept is finally revealed. Although the images leaked by AutoJournal.fr are low-resolution, we can still see all of the details from numerous angles.

Measuring 5.15 meters long, the unique Estoque, which we dare call a sedan, carries a front end in familiar Lamborghini style with gaping diamond shaped air intake scoops linked by a lower spoiler. The aggressive design caries through into the hood with its v-shaped noise and sharply cut side vents. Under the hood we are likely to find the 560 hp V10 from the Gallardo LP 560-4, and of course with all-wheel-drive.

Although the Estoque is presented in concept form, AutoJournal.fr indicates that a production version is planned to arrive as early as 2010. With the support of parent company, VW Group, variants of the Estoque could include a supercharged V8, a hybrid and even a top-range diesel engine (http://www.worldcarfans.com/9081001.006/lamborghini-estoque-concept-revealed#) – most likely the V12 TDI from the Audi Q7.

The Estoque makes its official appearance this evening in Paris. Stay tuned as we will update all new informations and images as they become available.
