as result of a shoddy DRC, calamity!
It all started when I went to visit Audiphile a few months ago in Encino... On the way home, I heard a popping sound which sounded like a blown tyre, but when I pulled off to the side of the freeway to inspect, all the tyres had good pressure. So, I drove slowly home and pulled the right front tyre to reveal this little gem:

Obviously seeing that this was a problem, took the car down to my technician at Audi MV, who thought that the alignment was too negatively cambered and so got the alignment done, replaced the control arm bushing and thought every was good.
Then, around mid-May, I was on my way out to Fontana for a Lexus is-F event rolling down the 261 (the toll road that cuts from Irvine to Corona), on the back as the 261 merges back with the 91 is a big hill, so my friend and I decided to go a little bit quick... The rest of the story is here:

Anyway, as a result, I am putting in some KW V3 instead of another set of DRC, which will just fail eventually anyway. The problem as I found out was that there was zero availability of the KW V3s anywhere in the world and I'd have to get them newly fabbed from the factory in Germany. Which is why I more than likely won't have my car ready by the time this next In-N-Out get together rolls around.
