Audi changed A5s entry level engine 1.8 T (170 hp) for 2.0 T (180hp)...

Any big reason for that?

Costs. The 1.8TFSI is for some reason more expensive to use than the 180ps 2.0TFSI. Both great engines, though i don't really understand why Audi chose to do it this way?

More power, better fuel economy why not like the change. People like more power/more fuel economy so Audi thinks more people will buy this combo.

The 1.8TFSI was and is an astonishing engine! Make no mistakes.

What i'm talking about is quite a few SERIOUSLY crossed A5 1.8TFSI owners (i've spoken with a few).. And i fully understand their frustration. 6mths after the first ones was taken into delivery, they were announced as being "obsolete". Bad move Audi !

chewym: It's never as uncomplicated as you stated above.

The same is true for the TT/S, the latest one are receiving the new improved Haldex system.
