94 Cavalier RS new engine?

I just bought a 94 Cavalier RS 3.1L and it has 105K miles on it. I was looking to replace the engine. I want to at least keep a v6 in it for the power and better gas mileage then a v8 (wife won't let me put in a v8 due to gas prices). I am not sure what all v6 engines chevy has but I would like more power but keep the v6 that my wife wants. What is a good engine I should go for. Thank you very much

A 1968 Honda NR 600 engine would fit just fine. FWD, 4 speed manual though, you will have to use a saws-all to make it fit.

Oh and one other thing, you will have to use the cranial-anal tool for its proper use...
